The mission of Our Water, Our Air, Our Rights is to help people protect their right to clean air, pure water, and to the preser- vation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment. We acknowledge that Pennsylvania's public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. Our Water, Our Air, Our Rights, through its educational programs and other actions, shall strive to preserve and protect these rights for the benefit of all the people.

History

We are parents, retirees, students, teachers, doctors, farmers, homeowners, renters, anglers, business owners and everything in between. We organized in 2011 when the threat of fracking surfaced in North East, PA. We staged protests and prevented the industry from taking root in this part of the State. Now with the advent of new drilling technology into the Utica shale abundant in NW PA, and the election of Gov. Tom Wolf, we reorganized and formed a 15- person Steering Committee to guide our activities. Contact the committee via: bearwalker33@roadrunner.com And because of the importance of airborne pathogens/carcinogens near these activities, we added OUR AIR to our name. We are now affiliates of these other PA groups against fracking: www.foodandwaterwatch.org www.paagainstfracking.org www.pennenvironment.org

Join Us

The Steering Committee meets regularly on the third Tuesday of every even month at 5:45 pm at the Neighborhood Art House, W. 10 th  St. and Holland Ave. in Erie, PA. The meetings are open and the public is invited. We have developed an email database of over 200 “members” for sharing information about coming events and news, and we encourage people to join this list by sending an email to the Steering Committee at: bearwalker33@roadrunner.com  and
